Gilbane Building Company Selected to Bring Peninsula Sarasota Condo to Life

Peninsula Sarasota has taken its first step in getting construction underway as visionary developers Joe Feinleib and Sam Gault have selected Gilbane Building Company as the community’s general contractor.

As one of Florida’s largest general building contractors, Gilbane has served various market sectors and clients since establishing its presence in 1972, reshaping Sarasota, Florida. As development progress kicks into high gear, let’s meet the team that will lead the construction of Peninsula Sarasota. Joe Feinleib of Coastal Luxury Homes and Sam Gault of Gault Family Companies, nationally renowned developers, will join a world-class team, including Florida-based Hoyt Architects and interior design by the world-renowned Karen Asprea Studio of New York, to create new state-of-the-art residences within the coveted Golden Gate Point neighborhood.

Bringing Sarasota’s Newest Condominium to Life

With Gilbane selected at the general contractor of Peninsula Sarasota’s condo residences, the team can now share a timeline for construction and completion. This past June, the Sarasota Planning Board unanimously recommended site plan approval. The current buildings on lot 223 have been cleared with plans to start demolition in September, allowing the lot to be combined with an adjacent lot for the development of Peninsula Sarasota. Golden Gate Point residents can expect to see the laying out of the foundation begin in late fall, with the structure rising over downtown in the first half of 2023. Completion is anticipated for early summer of 2024.
