As summer rolls in, Sarasota’s cultural scene is heating up in all the right ways. The Ringling Museum
The Ringling is debuting the newest update to its gallery space, and it’s a must-see. This season’s big feature is a stunning collection of ancient art from Cyprus and the Mediterranean - think pottery, statues, and more from thousands of years ago. May 4 – August 10, 2025: Personal to Political: Celebrating the African American Artists of Paulson Fontaine Press
Head over to the Sarasota Art Museum to catch this powerful exhibit showcasing African American artists connected to Paulson Fontaine Press. You’ll see work from names like Kerry James Marshall and the Gee’s Bend Quilters - artists who use printmaking to tell stories about identity, culture, and community. There are expert-led tours and live demonstrations to deepen the experience.
