Your Guide to Summer 2025: Arts & Culture in Sarasota

As summer rolls in, Sarasota’s cultural scene is heating up in all the right ways. Whether you’re into museum strolls, family-friendly activities, or getting early access to the next big Broadway show, there’s something special for everyone. Here’s a look at what’s happening in Sarasota this summer - and what you’ll want to put on your calendar.

The Ringling Museum

The Ringling is debuting the newest update to its gallery space, and it’s a must-see. This season’s big feature is a stunning collection of ancient art from Cyprus and the Mediterranean - think pottery, statues, and more from thousands of years ago. The galleries have been beautifully redone, and if you want a special experience, you can even book an after-hours visit or a guided tour with one of the museum’s experts.

June 5 – July 24, 2025: Family Night @ Art After Five
Looking for something unique to do with the kids? The Ringling hosts family yoga under its grand rotunda along with free guided tours to explore the exhibits. These fun and relaxing evening sessions are open to all ages and offer a great way to enjoy art in a new way - by moving and stretching right alongside it.

You’ll see work from names like Kerry James Marshall and the Gee’s Bend Quilters - artists who use printmaking to tell stories about identity, culture, and community. There are expert-led tours and live demonstrations to deepen the experience.

Looking Ahead: Theater & Performance Season Sneak Peek
