Peninsula Sarasota has officially reached its pinnacle of construction, rising above Golden Gate Point in Downtown Sarasota. Positioned on the 22-acre peninsula surrounded by Sarasota Bay, two boutique Sarasota condominium buildings will be combined by an amenities deck to become Peninsula Sarasota. The community has officially completed vertical construction and the luxury condominium residences are scheduled for move-in by Thanksgiving of this year.
Sam Gault, developer of Peninsula Sarasota, is thrilled by Peninsula Sarasota’s progress thus far. “Topping off the building marks a significant construction milestone,” shared Gault. “It truly takes a village to reach this point. From the architects and designers who crafted the building’s design to the dedicated construction teams bringing it to life, we are fortunate to have such a collaborative team. We look forward to delivering this great beautiful home to residents later this year.”
Silverline Construction, led by President and Chief Estimator Fred Basli, is now focusing on crafting the interior spaces, elevated amenity deck, and expansive private residences. The construction progress has ignited excitement with the future owners. Let’s take a closer look at what’s in store for this Sarasota condominium.
Since the first shovel hit the ground in May 2023, Peninsula Sarasota has maintained a steady pace of construction. The boutique design of the condominium has ensured a shorter construction window compared to the massive high-rise projects in the area. Developed by Sam Gault and renowned architecture firm Hoyt Architects, the two mid-rise buildings feature just 23 residences. One tower offers two residences per floor, while the other features full-floor residences, a rare design for the region. With interior selections finalized, residents are eagerly anticipating its completion.
Greg Ritter, Senior General Superintendent for Peninsula Sarasota, is pleased to share an updated timeline with residents. “Our current target date is Thanksgiving this year,” shared Ritter. “The partnerships we’ve cultivated with Hoyt Architects, the structural engineers, the designers, and others have formed a strong team that will bring this Sarasota condominium to the finish line. Silverline Construction has also gone above and beyond by involving homeowners in walkthroughs during construction, allowing them to provide input on the look and feel of their residences.”
Construction progress isn’t the only thing moving swiftly at Peninsula Sarasota. With the finish line in sight and only a few residences remaining, buyers looking forward to having a new address for next season. The remaining floorplans are offered on the eighth and ninth floors, offering 3-bedroom or 3-bedroom plus den layouts ranging from 2,400 to over 5,500 square feet.
From naturally inspired color palettes and calming décor, Peninsula Sarasota’s design merges the tranquility of the surrounding environment with a vibrant downtown lifestyle. The building’s intimate layout ensures that every residence enjoys a coveted corner position, boasting expansive wraparound terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows. For those seeking penthouse offerings, only one of the community’s three spacious plans remain available. The penthouse features a private rooftop terrace with unrivaled bayfront and cityscape views.
Two levels of amenities enhance the relaxed lifestyle at Peninsula Sarasota. A resort-style pool and sun deck combine the two buildings, while the Rooftop Residents’ Lounge provides a perfect setting for evening sunset gatherings. For those focused on health and wellness, the state-of-the-art Fitness Center offers the latest high-tech cardio and strength equipment. Designed by the renowned Karen Asprea Studio of New York, spacious common areas, a wine storage room, and other amenity spaces create a natural, spa-like sanctuary. The personalized assistance of an in-site concierge and the convenience of access-controlled entry points provide a lock-and-leave lifestyle for added peace of mind.
“We like to say that Peninsula Sarasota is a yacht while many of our competitors are cruise ships,” shared Gault. “Every aspect of life was taken into consideration to create homes and amenity spaces are owners will be proud of. We have also included a communal rooftop terrace where all owners can go to enjoy the extraordinary views of both Sarasota Bay and the city skyline.”
Situated on Golden Gate Point, Peninsula Sarasota’s unique location is close to downtown, but far from the hustle and bustle. Park the car and walk to Main Street, where there’s never a shortage of entertainment options. Palm Avenue’s Gallery Row showcases numerous local art galleries and hosts a monthly First Friday Gallery Walk, inviting residents to immerse themselves in the vibrant art scene. The city center is a hub of activity, boasting Zagat-rated restaurants, boutique shops, and a lively calendar of festivals and events. Water sports enthusiasts can set sail on boat charters or fishing excursions from Marina Jack, while beach lovers can unwind on the award-winning white sands of Lido Key Beach. Known as Florida’s Cultural Coast, the area is rich in performing arts venues and museums, including the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota Opera House, and Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. For frequent flyers, the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport is conveniently located just a short drive away.
With the remaining residences in high demand and construction progressing ahead of schedule, timing is everything at Peninsula Sarasota. The Sarasota condominium is rapidly approaching sellout, with the final residential opportunities priced from $4.5 million.
